Ah, how I wish these were real! When I was a youngling the one toy I wanted above all others was a 1970s Spider-Man action figure from Mego (one of the greatest toy companies ever!).

Recently, I came across a few websites dedicated to such great toys, and I decided that what the world really needs is New Heroes action figures...

So: Thanks to some computery jiggery-pokery we now have images of Titan and Energy as they might have looked had they existed. The Titan figure is modified from Superman, while Energy originated as Sue Storm / Richards (AKA The Invisible Woman / Girl) from the Fantastic Four.

Energy's real costume, as I'm sure all loyal readers will have spotted, looks a little different to the pic above. This is because the people who made the toys didn't want to show Energy's bare midriff. Or it could be because I wasn't able to find a photo that was a closer match.

Below, a CGI mock-up of how the Titan packaging might have looked (the drawing on the card is modified - i.e., stolen - from a very old pic of Superman)...
