Hesperus had a relatively short career as a superhero: she was active for only a few years before she was killed in combat by Slaughter.

An expert with any form of edged weapon, Hesperus was dubbed "the deadly dynamo" by the media. There has been some speculation that her superhuman abilities extended to her ubiquitous sword and axe, enhancing their strength. Persistent rumours suggested that there is footage of Hesperus in battle with Ragnarök in which the villain throws an SUV at Hesperus: she uses her weapons to slice the vehicle apart before it reaches her.

Costume:
Hesperus wore her own home-made armour which is believed to have been bullet-proof and fire-proof. Though she never wore a mask, Hesperus' true identity has never been discovered.
