Dioxin's skin was covered in open sores that permanently seeped a poisonous acid; the acid could dissolve almost anything, to the effect that Dioxin was unable to stand in one place for more than a few minutes before the ground beneath his feet began to liquefy. It has been said that the only material that Dioxin couldn't dissolve was gold; those who support this theory believe that he turned to crime in the hope of stealing enough gold to line the floors of his headquarters. Dioxin was also unable to eat: any food he picked up would burn before it reached his mouth. Though he possessed no other superhuman abilities, Dioxin was one of the most feared of the supervillains: his touch was almost always fatal, which meant that he could not easily be captured.

Costume:
Because of his condition, Dioxin never wore any form of clothing. Note: It has been suggested that Dioxin's interest in the accumulation of gold could have been prompted by his inability to wear normal clothing: a costume woven from spun gold threads would have been impervious to his venom.
